THE SET UP

I've been to many shows at the Javits Center though never as an exhibitor. As the BizBash Show is a one day affair, I kept the display pretty straightforward.
I had previously noticed that most attendees, upon entering the Exhibition Hall, always head to the left aisles first.  I know that it takes me time to really get into walking a show and so I therefore had two requests when I booked the booth. I wanted a booth on the right side of the hall and I wanted a corner site. This would give me two exposures for my display.  Luckily, I got both.

Julia and Renata, pictured above, helped with the set-up on Monday.   I was displaying close to fifty samples of past jobs.  Lots of shlepping but well worth it.  On Tuesday morning, I added some more packages to fill in some empty spots and I was good to go. Except for some last minute switches, this is basically what the booth looked like.
The show was a great success and we're looking forward to all the new opportunities it has opened up for us.

Update:

We're hard at work with last minute preparations for our first Trade Show Booth.
As mentioned before, I had been invited to display at the Biz Bash Show.  This is
a For the Trade Show which takes place once a year in New York.  This year's
show is scheduled for October 28, at the Javits Center.
We've done a few shows before such as the Mitzvah Market and the B2B Show,
but this is the first Trade show that I'm attempting.  Can't say I don't have butterflies about it but I'm very excited too.  We have a corner booth in a great
location and I'm looking forward to it.  I'll be taking more than forty samples of
packages with me so this week will be a very busy one.
We'll be sure to post some pictures.

Water Bottles

Many times, when the box being used is a smaller one, I run into the problem of where to put the water bottles.  One of the solutions I've come up with is pictured here.
Instead of two medium sized bottles, I use one large one.  I then wrap a newspaper
or magazine around it and then cover it with a matching paper.  There is usually
enough room at the top to insert two cups.  It makes for a neat package.

Besomim Spice Box

Just another Besomim Spice
Box option.  This one is filled
with a custom blend of spices
and dried flowers on a bed of
moss.  It's truly lovely.
When asked, I usually suggest
one box per couple as a parting
gift for a wonderful Shabbos
spent together with family and
friends.

Corporate Gifts

Last Wednesday, I received an order for three Corporate Gift packages.
The client had three important guests, two men and a woman, arriving
today and staying at the St. Regis.  He requested a package with some
great food and also wanted a small gift included.
No problem.  I had just the thing in mind and called to place my order.
Problem. The item was in CALIFORNIA.  HELP!  Luckily, the company
had exactly three samples at their N.Y. location which they kindly sold to me.
The packages turned out even better than expected.

THE NEXT STEP

So I've just taken a very deep breath and have signed my name on the dotted line. On October 28, 2014, I will be displaying at the BIZBASH in the Javits Center.

BizBash is an industry leader in the Event and Hospitality sector.  This To the Trade show, covers all aspects of the many facets of a well planned event.

Last year, I was approached by Lance Gutterman of BizBash, who invited me to
display.  I wasn't quite sure I was ready for it and declined.  This year, I decided to take the plunge.  I've signed up for a 10'x10' booth and was able to nab a choice corner one too.   I'll keep you posted over the summer on the arrangements.

Besomim

Besomim Holder done for a weekend Bar Mitzvah.  Each holder had a personalized message from the hosts.  Very different and beautiful.

BATHROOM AMENITIES BASKET

My client, a local party planner, who I've worked with many times in the past, wanted
a simple Bathroom Amenities Basket for a
small affair this weekend.

Things I usually include in these Baskets:
  Hairbrushes
  Combs
  Ponytail Holders
  Bobby Pins
  Safety Pins
  First aid Kit - Bandaids
                         Alcohol Wipes
                         Tylenol
                         Zantec
  Lens Solution
  Panty Hose
  Sanitary Pads and Tampons
  Water and Cups
  Mints
  Sewing Kit

On higher end baskets, I'll also include things like candles, lotions, Hair Dryer and Curling Iron.  Many times, I'll also incorporate a floral arrangement to go with the Basket.

When designing a Bathroom Basket, have fun with your components.  For this
particular basket, I used a soap dish and tooth brush holder as a first aid kit and
tampon holder respectively.
